Ah, Yes, Another Bordeaux Granite.
Today I did a happy dance, then held my camera up high and tried to stop wiggling for long enough to get a clear shot.
The object of my affection?
A piece of Golden Bordeaux granite destined for a bathroom countertop.
This is going on a zig-zaggy cabinet, a custom one that follows a wall with several angles. The original plan was to put something with a smaller, tighter pattern (like Santa Cecilia granite, or Ornamental Granite), but the directional nature of those granites would have made for some funny-looking seams at the corners (should they zig? should they zag?).
Fortunately, the homeowner found something else she loved, something that would work exceptionally well on a non-linear cabinet.
And, well, we’re kinda good at cutting stuff like this up so that it looks really, really good.
The guys won’t let me get near the counters while they’re being fabbed today, but hopefully I’ll get lucky and can grab a few shots to add to this post before they’re on the truck and heading out to Steiner Ranch.
If you like this one, you might like some of the other bordeaux granites like Neptune Bordeaux or Typhoon Bordeaux.
Update: Golden Bordeaux Bathroom Vanity
Pardon the graininess of these last ones – snapped in low light. Isn’t that one heck of a beautiful granite bathroom counter? (The caulk is still white because it is wet – it will dry clear).
