Got Outdoor Entertaining Space?
This home in South Austin (Travis Country) has a comfortable outdoor area that is used for entertaining. The homeowners dropped by looking for granite remnants, but the space was just a little bit too big to find matching pieces.
Instead, we found a small slab of Santa Cecilia Dark granite at a local stone yard that was the perfect size for these two outdoor granite counters.
One counter has a slightly-deeper overhang to the back and is about 31-inches deep. The other one is 27″ deep, with an inch and a half overhang on all sides.
We made a template at the property, then fit the granite to the template to make sure it wrapped perfectly around the posts in the corner.
The homeowner called near the beginning of his project, and then came by the shop to visit when he was ready to finalize his countertop material selections. Before we came out to template, he made sure the wooden framing was level from front-to-back and from side-to-side.
