Emperador Dark Marble Bathroom Counter
Yes, we know our name is Toluca GRANITE but we also LOVE Marble, especially when we get the chance to fabricate (that means “make” in granite-shop terms) some really cool bathroom counters in a fabulous, complex, rich marble such as this Emperador Dark.
The photos illustrate, beautifully, how many different places the marble (or granite) can go in this small space – on the multi-level counters and on the backsplash, and in a little j-shaped slice on the other side of the room on top of a glass block wall (the pictures of that wall has too many artifacts in them to post here!). The edge profile on this marble is 1/2-inch bevel, one of the most popular edges due to its simplicity and timelessness.
This marble is especially attractive with a vessel sink because the sink permits maximum counter space and showcases the complexity of this material – the coloration, veining and movement, which all add character to this Emperador Dark marble counter.
Can we do something this FABULOUS in your home?

Designer Kitchen with Giallo Ornamental Granite
Jan Mahaffey Blatchley of It’s Faux Real designed this remodeled kitchen and selected Giallo Ornamental granite for the countertops. This classy granite works exceptionally well with the diagonally-set small pieces of slate and the subtle glaze on the painted cabinets -a bit of an aged, old world look meets current custom home. These materials permit the accessories in the room to sing without competing for attention – the home owner can introduce reds, oranges, greens, or a myriad of other soothing or energizing colors palettes to the space in accessories or fabrics to change up the look seasonally, or whenever the mood strikes. When your granite counters lend themselves to ALL of the looks you love, you know you’ve chosen a winner!
